Sukin Botanical Body Wash Review

If you are still trying to hold on to the last remnants of Summer, I may have found the perfect product for you! I have discovered the perfect body wash, it has a fruity scent that is summery but it’s light enough and not overly sweet so it can hold your hand as we transition into Fall. Meet your new best friend the Sukin Botanical Body Wash.
These past few years I have transitioned into natural body care products, and while I have found many great ones, the scents were sometimes a letdown as many ranges go for standard lemon or lavender scents (not that there is anything wrong with those, they’re just not my favorites). This is why the Sukin body wash was such a pleasant discovery, it smells exactly like Fruit Loops!! It’s such a happy smelling product that it makes me smile every time I use it, perfect for a morning shower.

Aside from the scent it is also an excellent body wash with a lovely composition. It is soap and SLS-free and contains rosehip, avocado and jojoba oils to keep you hydrated, there is no tightness in the skin after use. For a natural body wash, it lathers quite well if you use a loofah or a konjac sponge. The pump bottle makes for easy use so all in all this product is a total winner in my book. Sukin offers a variety of other body wash scents and body products so don’t be surprised if I let myself be tempted and you see more of this brand popping up on the blog.

The Sukin Botanical Body Wash is available from Lookfantastic, Feelunique as well as certain health food stores.

Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara Review

Well it’s safe to say I have finally found my favorite mascara of all time. This is without a doubt the best mascara I have ever used and I have repurchased it non-stop for the past 2 years which says a lot about it since I really like trying out new mascaras. Say hello to the Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara in Radiant Black.

Over the past years, Bourjois has slowly but surely made its way to become my favorite drugstore brand and this mascara is the one product that first stole my heart. This product does everything I want from a mascara: it gives great length, holds a curl, separate the lashes and adds volume. I had never been a fan of wands with spiky plastic bristles (I preferred the traditional fiber ones) but this one gives me maximum definition, with all the added benefits stated above, without ever poking my eyes. The tube also comes with a magnifying mirror on the side which allows you to really apply the mascara evenly and to closely see your eyes from every angle. This is an added bonus in my opinion (I would still love the product without it) but it has truly made applying mascara easier.

The radiant black color is a nice deep black and I like that it’s not a pain to remove. It comes of really easily with a cleansing oil and it doesn’t leave you with raccoon eyes while you’re removing it. I also found it to be super long lasting, it never smudged or flaked on me despite not being waterproof (though Bourjois makes a waterproof version). This is all great because my lashes have never looked better, I love that results last all day and that I don’t have to mentally prep for battle before removing it.

The Bourjois Volume Reveal Mascara is a must-have for me and I cannot recommend it enough. The results are amazing and I love that it’s super affordable, plus Bourjois is often on offers like 3 for 2 or has great gift with purchase. You can find it in both Boots and Superdrug in the U.K. as well as on Feelunique and Lookfantastic for international delivery.

Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover with Grape Extract Review

I know Summer is on its last leg, but the weather here in Canada has been so nice that it still has me reaching for lighter skincare products, especially when it comes to removing my makeup. While I have been loving using a cleansing oil for years (don’t get me wrong I still enjoy them), I have using something a little different for the past few weeks and ended up falling in love all over again with the Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover with grape extract.

This makeup remover was my go-to all through high school, combined with a separate cleanser for my face. I loved the Garnier Fresh line, they used to have an amazing lotion with SPF15 that I wore every day and it never broke me out. Sadly the lotion was discontinued but I’m super happy the eye makeup remover is still around. The product comes in small easy to use bottle that is perfect for travel and it’s super affordable!!
This is one of the only eye makeup removers that does not irritate my eyes in any way and still manage manages to make hard to remove mascara disappear. While I’m not a fan of scented eye product the light fresh scent brings back many memories and I find it very pleasant. On days where I’ve only been wearing mascara or I don’t feel like using a cleansing oil, I reach for the Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover to get the job done quickly.

I think you’d be hard-pressed to find a better product at such an affordable price-point (I got mine for less than 5$ at the drugstore) and I cannot recommend it enough. The Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover is available at any drugstore that carries the brand in Canada and in the U.K. you can find it in Boots. I’m sure it is also available elsewhere in the world so keep an eye out for it!
