Neulii Niacinamide 10 Brightening Ampoule Review + Discount Code

I have saved the best for last in this Neulii review series in collaboration with RoseRoseShop, they kindly sent me the Neulii Niacinamide 10 Brightening Ampoule and it’s amazing. This has been such a surprise hit in my routine, so keep reading to find out why as well as get a lovely 10% off discount code.

The Neulii Niacinamide 10 Brightening Ampoule is a fragrance-free lightweight serum that contains niacinamide, zinc PCA, tea tree leaf extract and other gorgeous plant extracts that help treat blemishes and brighten the skin. I personally am a huge fan of tea tree to help with any pesky spots that pop up. Whenever I experience blemishes I focus my morning skincare routine on treating the spots, but at night I would use a brightening serum to help prevent and diminish any hyperpigmentation. This is where this Neulii ampoule comes in, it targets both concerns at once so I can treat spots but also prevent hyperpigmentation at the same!

This ampoule has truly blown me away with the results, I found it helped speed up the healing of small blemishes significantly, they were gone within a week. Most importantly, they disappeared without leaving any hyperpigmentation (red marks) behind!! The formula is light, it absorbs quickly and leaves no tacky feeling on the skin. Often, both blemish and brightening products can be drying (especially with regular use) but I did not experience any even though I used it twice a day for 2 weeks. I noticed a very slight lightening of some older pigmentation but I definitely need to keep on using it to see more results.

Overall, I can 100% recommend the Neulii Niacinamide 10 Brightening Ampoule to anyone looking for an efficacious treatment for breakouts and to both prevent and treat hyperpigmentation. It’s very affordable and I think it would suit most skin types, but I highly recommend it if you are prone to breakouts.

You can get the Neulii Niacinamide 10 Brightening Ampoule from RoseRoseShop and you can use the code NEU2021 to get 10% off the brand on the website.

Neulii Derma Ectocica Daily Mask Review + Discount Code

Continuing with my review series of Neulii products, today I bring you the Neulii Derma Ectocica Daily Mask, the second product I received from RoseRoseShop. I find it great that brands are starting to package sheet masks in more sustainable ways which made me more excited to test this one out! Also keep an eye out for a lovely discount code at the end of the review.

The Neulii Derma Ectocica Daily Mask comes in a large box with a sticker seal that keeps the product fresh and prevents evaporation. There is a little pair of tweezers in the lid which makes picking up the mask very hygienic. The box contains 30 sheet masks, so you can use one every day! The value for money is really good and I love the packaging because it generates a lot less waste than your traditional sheet mask would. It also holds a lot of essence and doesn't dry too quickly.

Now for the mask itself, the sheet feels very soft and I was impressed with the fit, it’s not too big and retains its shape well. The sheet is made with eucalyptus tree extract and I was surprised by how well it sticks to the face, it almost feels tight and it really does not slide down even if you’re moving around! This is a big plus for me because I don’t want to have to lie down while doing a mask.

The essence is very watery and light, it contains centella asiatica, Derma-Clear and ectoin to sooth and hydrate the skin as well as help with the skin barrier function. Personally I experienced different effects from the mask, I found it really cooling, it diminished sebum production and my skin looked brighter after us. This is one of the most cooling masks I have tried, and while the cooling effect does really brighten the skin, I just don’t enjoy the sensation.  Another important point is the water-type essence, it is light and unlike many others it does not leave your skin feeling sticky when you remove the mask. I think this is great because it means you can easily use the mask in the morning and its effects are perfect for before makeup. I would also note that it is quite heavily fragranced, the scent is fresh and clean but quite strong. Just something to consider if you are sensitive to fragrances and scents in general.

I believe the Neulii Derma Ectocica Daily Mask would be best suited for those with oilier skin that are looking for a cooling effect to tone down redness and brighten the skin as well as help with sebum control. I loved the packaging and I hope they will bring out other types in the future, maybe one to go along with their niacinamide ampoule which is amazing.

You can find the Neulii Derma Ectocica Daily Mask from RoseRoseShop and use code NEU2021 for 10% off the brand on the RoseRoseShop website!

Neulii Cica 100 Soothing Ampoule Review + Discount Code

I have recently had the opportunity to try products from Neulii a Korean skincare brand thanks to RoseRoseShop, my favorite Kbeauty retailer. I’m super excited to share my thoughts on the products after testing them out the past few weeks and I have a lovely discount code to share as well. Today I’m bringing you a review of the Neulii Cica 100 Soothing Ampoule!

In the past, I have not gravitated towards soothing products a lot since they usually tend to be quite rich and feel heavy on the skin. That being said, I have found my skin to be a bit more sensitive lately and I have experienced a bit of redness on my cheeks. I was thus very excited to receive the Neulii Cica 100 Soothing Ampoule and discover that it’s a very lightweight liquid ampoule that layers beautifully under the rest of my skincare products.

The formula is super simple, it is made of 100% centella asiatica and nothing else! The texture is like water, it has no scent at all and can be used in a multitude of ways. Personally I like to pat in a few drops after applying my essence, like you would a toner, but you can also add it to cotton pads to make a diy sheet mask. I really enjoy how it does not feel oily or heavy on the skin, it absorbs super quickly so it integrated perfectly with the rest of my skincare routine. I like to use it morning and night to help prevent and treat sensitivity in my skin.  I see a definite reduction in redness on days I use it and it’s also great at toning down redness/inflammation if you’re experiencing breakouts.

Overall, I found the Neulii Cica 100 Soothing Ampoule to be a great product to tone down redness and sooth the skin. I think it would work for most skin types, however the watery texture makes it an ampoule you should definitely look into if you have oily/combination skin as few products cater to it the way this one does. It is also quite affordable so I see it as a great option for younger people, but this is truly a product anyone can benefit from.

You can find the Neulii Cica 100 Soothing Ampoule from RoseRoseShop and use code NEU2021 for 10% off the brand on the RoseRoseShop website!

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye Cream Review

In my opinion, using an eye cream is key to keeping your under eye area looking fresh and youthful. Also it makes a huge difference in how smoothly your concealer will apply and sit throughout the day. That being said, I haven’t been particularly adventurous with my eye creams because so many gave me milia… It wasn’t until last year that I decided to branch out and try the Innisfree GreenTea Seed Eye Cream.

First of all, let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact that it comes in a 30ml jar instead of the 15ml which is standard for most brands, it’s incredible value for money! This cream will honestly last you ages and I didn’t feel guilty using it morning and night as it is quite affordable for the size. Formula-wise the eye cream contains ingredients like green tea seed oil and shea butter which give it a rich creamy texture without being heavy. It really delivers in the moisture department and makeup applies beautifully over it because it absorbs quickly and leaves the area feeling really smooth.

I’m happy to report that it did not give me milia, instead it left my under eye area looking hydrated and smooth. Overall, I feel like the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye Cream is a nice option for those looking for a simple moisturising eye cream for daily use, especially if your skin is quite dry.

You can get the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye Cream from RoseRoseShop.

Trilogy Exfoliating Body Balm Review

I often wonder, if I could only ever use one brand for the rest of my life what would it be?  When it comes to skincare the answer is quite difficult as there are quite a few brands I love and am very loyal to. However, for bodycare the answer is clear and simple: I would be perfectly happy to only use Trilogy products. Their body range has always impressed me (I haven’t try much of their skincare yet) and my love for them was once again reinforced after I bought their Exfoliating Body Balm.

This is such a unique product, the balm feels thick and luxurious, meaning your really have to massage it into the skin and giving you a very thorough exfoliation. The mixture of sugar and rosehip seed powder is super efficacious at smoothing the skin and removing dead skin cells. Because the particles are in a balm it really cushions the skin and it leaves it ultra-soft and moisturised thanks to the rosehip oil.

It leaves your skin feeling deeply nourished, enough that I can skip using a body lotion, but it does not feel oily. I have loved using it in the summer, it works really well with self-tanner to maintain your tan and help it fade evenly. The moisturising aspect will also make it great for the colder months. It also has that lovely Trilogy scent which I love, it is very pleasant/soothing and doesn’t linger on the skin which I prefer.

As always, Trilogy delivers a beautiful product that performs well, as a natural formula and smells wonderful. The Trilogy Exfoliating Body Balm is available from many retailers including Lookfantastic and of course the Trilogy website.

Saying Hello to Spring with the Murad Hydrating Toner

I love a good mist, but I have to admit that more often than not I’m left feeling like it does not do much for my skin except refresh it. Now there’s nothing wrong with that but if you are looking for a little something extra I may have found the perfect product: the Murad Hydrating Toner.

First off, it smells incredible, kind of like peaches and it’s just so deliciously fruit that it’s really perfect for spring and summer. It’s a really uplifting scent that instantly puts a smile on my face! Now apart from the scent, this toner truly makes your skin more hydrated while also refreshing it. Some of the star ingredients it contains include grape seed extract, cucumber extract as well as peach extract to balance and hydrate the skin.

As the weather gets warmer I tend to reach for lighter textures and I found that this product really helps me keep my skin hydrated without having to use something heavy. I think it would be great to use if you’re spending a lot of time outdoors or are in a very dry environment (air conditioning can just suck the moisture out of your skin). I personally use it over makeup sometimes and it doesn’t disturb it. The spray on it is quite powerful but the mist is fine so it doesn’t drench you face either. Also the size is quite generous compared to other toners and mist, it’s a 180ml so it should last you a while.

The bottle pictured above is of the old packaging, the toner now comes in a pink bottle which I think is much more in keeping with the fruity hydration theme. This was my first Murad purchase and I’m quite intrigued to try more from the brand.

You can find the Murad Hydrating Toner at Sephora as well as from the Murad website and places like Feelunique and Lookfantastic.

Spring 2019 Beauty Empties

I’m so excited to bring you a new empties post for spring, this is one of my favorite types of posts to read but I don’t do them very often. I think that’s mainly due to the fact that I get so much satisfaction out of putting empties in the recycling that I’m not patient enough to wait until I have enough to show you. This time however, I happened to finish quite a few around the same time so read on for my thoughts on all these products!

First off, we have the Klorane Floral Water Make-Up Remover, this is by far my favorite micellar water, I have already repurchased it. It removes makeup really well and easily, including my typically hard to remove mascara, and I love that it is fragrance-free. I highly recommend it if you want something gentle and efficacious. I have reviewed it here!

Second is the Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel, a lovely product to choose if you are just getting into eye care. The gel is light and feels refreshing (thanks to the thick glass jar that keeps it cool), it offers good hydration and makeup sits really well on top of it. It also seems to help with dark circles even though it makes no such claims. A winner in my book and it’s worth mentioning that you get 25ml instead of the standard 15ml from pretty much all other brands. You can read my full review here!

Next is the Innisfree White Tone Up Skin, I won’t go into too much detail as it has sadly been discontinued. This was my favorite toner, it really helped brighten the skin and helped with hyperpigmentation. I hope Innisfree will relaunch the line at some point or come up with a worthy replacement.

We also a bottle of the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, I have actually been through four bottles of it. This is an amazing serum to help diminish any leftover pigmentation from spots and it gives a light hydration boost. I keep going back to it because it truly does give my skin radiance and it’s a joy to use day or night. I plan on doing a full review of it soon.

Going away from skincare, I have an adorable travel size bottle of the Klorane Ultra-Gentle Shampoo with Oat Milk. Just as it says on the bottle, this is a very gentle shampoo, it cleanses the hair without stripping them and is has a very light clean scent. I think it would be great for kids and men as well since it’s quite neutral and simple. I don’t think I would repurchase but that’s simply because I prefer the scent of their mango range.

Last but not least is the Korres Shower Gel in Santorini Vine (travel size), I have owned this before and it’s so lovely. It has an amazing fruity scent that reminds me of something from my childhood but I can’t put my finger on it. I will definitely repurchase it in the full size because I love the scent and it lathers really nicely. You really cannot fault Korres when it comes to good shower gels.

So there you have my spring empties, I’ll try to them more often as they are quite fun to write. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little recap and let me know if you have tried any of them or if you would like a more detailed review of something!
