Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser Review

I love the feeling of freshly cleansed skin, honestly nothing feels better than removing your makeup and washing your face at the end of the day. A good cleanser is essential to the process which makes testing out new ones super fun. A while ago, Innisfree came out with a new natural skincare line with a more minimal ingredients’ list and packaging. I haven’t seen a lot of the new range online, I think that’s mostly because the products are only available on the Korean Innisfree website and all the information is in Korean. Well today I’m going to talk about the Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser and I hope to get my hands on more products from the line in the future, the beetroot range also look very promising.

This looks like your typical creamy foaming cleanser, but it creates a really nice light lather when you add water to it. Because the cleanser has a low pH (meaning it is more acidic), it shouldn’t disturb your skin’s acid mantle which many foaming cleansers actually do because they are very alkaline (high pH). I also believe it’s SLS-free although I had a hard time finding an ingredients’ list in English. The reason why I like it so much is because it gives the feeling of really fresh and clean skin without any dryness. Most foaming cleansers leave my face feeling tight and dehydrated but this one doesn’t! In my opinion this makes the Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser a great option to use in the morning or as a second cleanse at night. I haven’t used it to remove makeup (because I prefer cleansing oils) so I cannot say how it performs on that front.

I really love this cleanser, I am actually on my second tube and I hope they will bring the whole line to their international website soon. Also thumbs up for Innisfree having such a great product at such an affordable price, I paid about 10$ for mine and the other products are also all very affordable.

The Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing 5.5 Cleanser is available on the Innisfree website (Korea only) but you can find it from other retailers, I got mine on Ebay.

Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin Review

Well long time no blog, I have been on a little hiatus recently but I am trying to get back into writing so posting should be more frequent. Honestly, I was just not very inspired to write, even though I have discovered so many great products over the past months. To get me started, I thought I should go with a sure thing: the Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin.

The Sparkling Mineral line came out a few months back (around January I think) and this mineral rich toner is supposed to nourish, hydrate and restore the pH of your skin. It is a slightly clouded liquid that is super light and the formula is acid-balanced. This is a super refreshing toner and it is perfect for summer with its slightly citrusy scent. It comes in a gorgeous blue bottle (I love the color) with a simple pour top. Now I prefer products with a pump but the design of this one is pretty much mess-free. The way the cap is designed allows you to easily pour the toner on a cotton pad without spilling it everywhere.

Unlike a lot of toners, this one actually does moisturise the skin and makes it feel supple. It provides a nice light boost of moisture so I think it will be great for summer under a light lotion. It is full of skin loving fruit and plant extracts, which brings me to my favorite thing about it: this makes a wonderful mist. I actually decanted this into a spray bottle when I ran out of mist and this makes such a good one! The Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin is way more hydrating than a simple water spray and I love how this has more benefits than other mists. There is an actual Jeju Sparkling Mineral mist in the line, but the toner has been working so well for me, I plan on using it like that until I am done with my bottle.

To me this is a great basic skincare item, it makes a nice addition to your routine if you are looking for a fuss-free toner that will give you hydration. The Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Skin is available on the Innisfree website.

Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion SPF34/PA++ in no.13 Light Beige Review

Cushion foundations have been all the rage in Korea for a few years and even though they looked really fun, I never gave in to the urge of buying one. Buying foundations online is always a gamble, but when you have super fair skin, nine times out of ten you can expect the lightest shade to be too dark. So I indulged on skincare and lip tints instead (nothing wrong with that ;) However Innisfree once again sucked me in and I couldn’t resist their Ampoule Intense CushionSPF34/PA++ when it went on sale months ago.

So how did I get on? Well this particular cushion claims to be super moisturizing and is infused with oil to give you a glow. It also has SPF34/PA++ which is great added protection for a base product (you should still use a separate sunscreen) and the packaging makes it perfect for touching up during the day since most of us rarely reapply sunscreen (guilty!).

Innisfree is not kidding when it says it’s moisturizing, it feels very moist on the skin. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the oil it contains (don’t worry it didn’t break me out), the foundation doesn’t move around but it doesn’t look like it’s set either. The glow factor is very high, bordering on shiny for my combination skin, you really get that extreme Korean dewiness with this cushion. I think those with dry skin looking for that dewy glow will enjoy it and it can work on those with combination during colder months (or maybe if you live in a very dry environment). I have tried it last summer and it looked quite shiny, though a bit of powder did tone it down slightly. While it is long-lasting for such a glowy product, it did oxidise a bit on me. I don’t think it would necessarily make a huge difference on others, but it was quite noticeable on my fair skin (my neck is super pale). The coverage is a nice medium that is buildable. It will even out the skin, cover redness and minor imperfections, but you will need a concealer to cover spots. That being said I loved how this looked like skin when you have it on, in a weird way it lets your skin show through but still manages to even it nicely.

The shade range is small, only 3, and they are all on the lighter side. I purchased the lightest one which no.13 light beige and it was a tad dark for me, requiring me to really take it down my neck. It would be a good color match for me in the summer if I was using a self-tanner. I highly recommend you have a look at swatches online if you can’t see it in store. Very fair or darker skin will probably have a hard time finding a perfect match.

Packaging-wise, the case is actually quite sturdy with a nice mirror and I loved how the cushion is packed with product and you can easily flip the sponge when one side gets a bit dry. Another thing I love is that these are refillable and the refills are quite affordable which is nicer than having to buy a whole new compact every time. The cushion also comes with a puff so you can gently pat the product on. I’m not a fan of sponges generally, but this one is amazing!! The puff really blends the foundation seamlessly and easily, it cuts down the application time in half for me. The one con I have about it is that it’s quite hard to wash, but I don’t really mind because they are super affordable to buy on their own (about 3$). So I would recommend getting an extra one with your purchase just in case.

You can get the Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion SPF34/PA++ on their website and it is currently 50% off

Innisfree BHA Skin Clinic Mask Review

It’s official, I’m out of all my Innisfree sheet masks. I have been holding on to my last one for quite some time as I wanted to find the perfect moment to use it. Well my skin has been acting up quite a lot recently (I’m still trying to figure out what caused it) so it seemed like the right time to try the Innisfree BHA Skin Clinic Mask.

I’m always a bit wary of using products for troubled skin, blame it on the drugstore products of the past that made me cough because they smelled so strongly of alcohol and felt like they would burn your face off. Well fear not because, as always, Innisfree delivers a great product. This sheet mask contains salicylic acid (a BHA) to help gently remove dead skin cells and leave you with smoother skin. Salicylic acid is also great at unclogging pores and so it can help treat breakouts. Most importantly it does all that without burning your face (do test the mask before use to make sure you won’t react to any ingredients, a must when using any new products) and it doesn’t smell strongly at all. In fact, there is no alcohol scent only a faint herbal one that is quite pleasant.

The Skin Clinic Mask are made with 100% natural cotton and I find they really help your skin better absorb the essence and they are slightly more discreet than other sheet mask (more transparent). After leaving it on for about 30 minutes, my skin felt softer and smoother and it did not feel dry (though this mask is not very moisturizing). I also found that it helped soothe breakouts and reduced overall redness. Now I have only used this once and obviously it’s not miraculously going to make spots disappear, but I do think it helped clear them out faster. I wish I had more on hand because regular use could probably help keep your skin in check or at the very least be great for those times when you need to calm your skin.

I was actually really impressed by this sheet mask, it delivers great results at a very affordable price. The Innisfree BHA Skin Clinic Mask is available from the Innisfree website and any of their stores (if you’re lucky enough to live near one).

Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser

Scrubs and exfoliators are some of my favorite skin treatments because they instantly give you results. My skin actually needs quite frequent exfoliation so I love finding exfoliating cleansers that are efficient, yet gentle enough so I can use them multiple times a week. This is why I was really excited when Innisfree launched their Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser and simply had to get my hands on it.

This cleanser comes in 3 different versions, each with a different concentration of sea salt: 20%, 30% and 40%. I went for the 40% to get the most exfoliation possible. Apart from the mineral salt, the foaming cleanser contains many fruit and plant extracts and, from what I could tell off the ingredients list, it is free of SLS. I am not a fan of foaming cleansers because they can really dry out your face and upset its balance. That being said, this is one of the better ones on the market and I did not find it drying (though it is not moisturizing either). I particularly enjoyed using it at night as a second cleanse or in the morning because the foam is very light and airy. It is hard to explain but once you really lather it up in your hands it doesn’t feel like a foaming cleanser (it’s not as creamy and thick) and it was much easier to rinse off.

So far so good, but the exfoliating part took me by surprise. See, the sea salt particles are actually quite big and while they are not rough on the skin (which is great because they aren’t irritating) they don’t really do much in terms of exfoliating dead skin cells. I assume it must offer some sort of extremely gentle scrubbing effect but I couldn’t really see a difference when using it. I doubt the 20% and the 30% would perform much better either. So on the exfoliating front I can’t say I was impressed.

Over all, I think the Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser is a decent foaming cleanser but it didn’t blow me away. I don’t see myself repurchasing it since I much prefer the Green Barley Cleansing Cream and I would rather try cleansers from their olive or green tea line next.

The Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser is available on the Innisfree website.

Innisfree Eco Flower Tint in Camellia, Rose and Balsam

The beauty world is full of lip colors in different textures and finishes, some turn out good, others are better left alone. What makes all this exploring worth it is the feeling you get when you find the PERFECT lip product! I want color, lasting power and a formula that is comfortable to wear all day long. For me this has come in the form of the Innisfree Eco Flower Tint.

This has to be my favorite lip stain formula and all the colors are gorgeous! Camellia is a bright pink that lifts the complexion, Rose a light red/rose color that is still bright without the full-on punch of a traditional red lip and Balsam a slightly peach orange shade that looks very natural and different from a typical nude. The Eco Flower Tint actually comes in five shades and let me tell you the other two will surely make their way to my makeup bag in the future.

Unlike most liquid stains, they are actually kind of creamy which keeps them from making your lips feel as dry as the Sahara. The light cream is super easy to apply and doesn’t go on patchy so you can get a really even color all over your lips. Rose has a more watery consistency than the others but it is not drying either and applies just as well. They last most of the day on me (depending on what I have for lunch and if I wipe my lips a lot) and they fade evenly which is always nice. The tints have a satin finish, luminous but not glossy and they don’t make your lips look smaller like matte lipstick can do. You can easily apply lip balm or a gloss if you want more shine, my favorite for this is the Innisfree Canola Honey Balm.

I honestly don’t know what more you could want from a lip stain (except for even more shades!), I can’t fault it or recommend it enough. Oh and it’s super affordable to boot! Another amazing product from Innisfree, I think I can see a trend here ;)

Daily Lip Balms Honey Edition Featuring Innisfree and The Green Beaver Company

The mission to keep dry lips at bay in the winter goes ever on, thankfully I love trying out new lip balms. At the moment, I’m having quite a love affair with honey lip balms as I cannot get enough of the scent. So today I bring you the Honey Edition of my favorite lip balms: Innisfree’s Canola Honey Lip Balm and The Green beaver Company’s Honey Lip Balm.

The Innisfree Canola Honey Lip Balm was actually the first product I tried from the canola honey range and it is lovely. It contains canola honey extract and mango seed butter to moisturize the lips and leave them supple. I found it works great on dry lips but it does not offer enough moisture to heal chapped lips. To me it’s better at keeping your lips soft when they are not in bad shape and because it has a super glossy finish it helps make your lips appear softer and smoother than they actually are. It looks beautiful over lip stains and I love using it throughout the day instead of using a gloss. It has quite a strong scent, but I love it because it reminds me of my favorite honey bubble tea. The Canola Honey Lip Balm is a really nice offering from Innisfree which also has other honey lip balms, including newly released tinted ones. You can see them all here.

Next we have one from my favorite Canadian organic skincare brand: The Green Beaver Company. Their Honey Lip Balm has a waxier texture than the Innisfree one, but since coconut oil is actually the first ingredient it’s actually very emollient and goes on super smoothly. It is certified organic by Ecocert and its mix of oils and honey makes for a very nourishing and moisturizing balm. That being said, I still don’t think it’s enough to heal super chapped lips but it is nicely hydrating for day to day use. It smells and tastes just like really honey, which makes sense as the formula is all natural. I like that it does not just protect lips from drying out (like typical waxy lip balms), I believe the blend of oils (coconut, sunflower and cranberry) makes for a winning hydrating combination. Lastly it’s super affordable and you don’t have to be afraid of ingesting bad chemicals while wearing it.

The Innisfree Canola Honey Lip balm is available from their website and the Green Beaver Company Honey Lip Balm can be found in many health food stores as well as on their website.

Innisfree Camellia Essential Hair Oil Serum

Continuing with my battle against the drying cold weather, I decided to move on to hair today to mix things up a little. I recently started paying more attention to hair treatments and little extras I could add to my routine to keep my hair healthy and static at bay. In the past, I have not been very impressed with drugstore products because they tend to be too heavy or make by hair oily. I do love the Shu Uemura Essence Absolue but I wanted to find something a bit more affordable (though it truly is amazing and worth every penny). Obviously the first brand I turned to was Innisfree, so let’s have a look at their Camellia Essential Hair Oil Serum.

This serum is basically a light-weight oil with a minimal ingredients’ list and it contains camellia oil which is great for the hair. I was also pleasantly surprised that while it contains silicones, I don’t feel like it coats my hair or leave a residue the way other silicon based hair products do. You can use the serum as a treatment to help hydrate and revitalize your hair, giving you silkier locks.

Personally, I actually love using it on dry hair to make it more manageable, tame frizz and just give it a boost. This serum just gives you the most beautiful shine without making you look greasy, it reflects light beautifully. What’s more is that you only need a tiny amount to get results (even with long hair like mine) so you can use it frequently and it should last you a long time. Lastly, it smells really good, it has a light floral and green that’s very delicate and let’s not forget the gorgeous red bottle. I love the design and the pump works really well.

How to Keep Dry Hands at Bay this Winter

When the cold weather hits sometimes just using hand cream does not cut it. My hands have been super dry lately and even though I apply hand cream multiple times a day, I felt like I needed a boost. So I have put together the perfect combination for a super moisturizing night treatment that will keep cracked skin at bay!

First you need a good quality hand cream, not just something with loads of silicon that makes your hands feel soft, you need emollients and ingredients that can actually hydrate the skin, not just coat it. For this purpose I love the Innisfree Hand Creams, they contain loads of great ingredients like shea butter, olive and coconut oil as well as different antioxidants like orchid and green tea extracts. They are really good for daily maintenance but combined with the product below you get an even richer treatment.

The trick to boost your hand cream is to add The Honest Company Organic Healing Balm and mix them together for extra moisture. This balm contains loads of great organic oils like sunflower, olive and tamanu as well as chamomile and beeswax for an all-around soothing and nourishing product. The reason why I do this treatment at night is because the balm is very rich. You could use it on its own, but it can make your hands quite oily which is why I love to combine it with a cream to get all the benefits without any drawbacks.

This treatment really helps keep my hands soft and I feel like they don’t get as dry during the day! You can get Innisfree Hand Creams from their website, the ones shown above are from the limited edition 2015 Green Christmas Perfumed Hand Cream Gift Set available here. As for the Honest Organic Healing Balm, you can find it on the Honest website.

Innisfree’s 2015 Green Christmas Collection: the Perfumed Hand Cream Gift Set and the Jeju Camellia Body Butter

Well the holidays are over and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We finally got some snow, a heaping 30cm in one day, it was lovely and it’s helping stay in the holiday spirit for a bit longer. With that in mind, I wanted to share with you some lovely products from Innisfree’s 2015 Green Christmas Collection: the Perfumed Hand Cream Gift Set and the Jeju Camellia Body Butter.

The Perfumed Hand Cream Gift Set comes with 3 full size hand creams in Warm Woods, Sweet Holiday and Snowy Tree. The set comes in a gorgeous red box that is very festive and each hand cream is decorated with its own cute design. I love the metallic packaging and I just think they look very luxurious and Instagram worthy. The actual hand creams are as good as the regular ones, super moisturizing and non-greasy. Innisfree actually makes my favorite hand creams and I love all 3 scents in this set. They all smell good but are not overpowering or too Christmassy.

The JejuCamellia Body Butter comes in this super cute little box decorated with little biscuits and candy canes and the design is also on the lid. I love how sweet this look without being too Christmassy so it won’t look out of place in a month or two. As for the body butter itself, it is super creamy and rich feeling, but it melts into the skin instantly leaving it super soft and smooth. I was actually really impressed by this, it is the perfect product to keep your skin hydrated this winter.

Innisfree really knocked it out of the park this year with their Holiday Collection and all the body care items are perfect for the cold months ahead. The collection also includes makeup items like cushions and lip balms which you can view here. The entire Innisfree 2015 Green Christmas Collection is available on their website and they also have great promotions going on for the New Year.

I hope you’ll have a wonderful New Year’s Eve and that 2016 will be filled with love, joy and happiness. See you all in the new year!

Innisfree Canola Honey Hydro Gel Mask

I mentioned the Innisfree Canola Honey Hydro Gel Mask earlier this week and I thought I could go into more details about it today. I had actually never used a hydro gel mask, I was just really happy with regular sheet masks and didn’t see a point in spending more money on a mask. Well I was wrong because this is such a nice skin treat.

The entire canola honey range is made to help nourish your skin deep down to give you smooth and hydrated skin. By using a gel to deliver the essence to the skin, you get a mask that adheres better to your face and fits more tightly so the essence does not drip down your face. It really stays put for 30 minutes easily so it would be great to use while traveling/flying. Also, because it comes in two separate parts (top and bottom) it is super easy to adjust it to make it fit your face shape.

Now does it really work? Yes it does! The essence absorbed a lot better than with a regular sheet mask, your skin isn’t wet or sticky afterwards. It really is nourishing and moisturizing, I even skip my moisturizer that evening and woke up with soft and hydrated skin. Also there is something very soothing about the gel, it cools down your face and feels lovely. It is not heavy at all and the experience in itself is actually very relaxing. It is definitely more luxurious than your average sheet mask and while they are a bit more expensive (about 4$), I found out I could use them twice so it’s all good in the end. I can’t wait to try more, especially the green tea and berry ones.

You can get the Innisfree Canola Honey Hydro Gel Mask from their website.

How to Get your Skin Winter Ready

With the weather getting colder (still no real snow here, only freezing rain…) I thought I could share with you my favorite products to get my skin winter ready and survive the change in temperature. All the products focus on hydration and give super soft skin. Aside from using moisturizer there are many other ways to boost hydration in your skincare routine.

1. Kora Organics Age-Defying AHA Facial Exfoliator: a beautiful exfoliator that uses fruit acids and natural granules to remove dead skin cells and leave you with baby-soft skin.

2. Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel: this light-weight gel deeply moisturizes your under eye area and it makes your concealer go on super smoothly. I love how it provides non-greasy hydration.

3. Caudalie Lip Conditioner: a great lip balm that protects your lips and helps seal in moisture while adding a bit of hydration. It also makes a great base for other lip products.

4. Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser with Shea Butter: more of a light cream cleanser, this little gem make your skin feel super soft and hydrated instead of tight and dry. It also smells amazing!

5. Innisfree Canola Honey Hydro Gel Mask: a super nourishing gel sheet mask that works quickly and really allows the essence to penetrate deeply into your skin.

 6. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: one of my all-time favorite, this mask will add loads of moisture to your skin and make it super soft come morning. This is also an inflight essential for me.

I hope you enjoyed this little list and find it useful to keep your skin in top condition this winter. Do let me know your favorites in the comments below and you can expect detailed reviews on all the products I have not reviewed yet soon.

Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist

First let me start off by saying I am really sorry for the lack of posts in the past few weeks. The main reason is that I broke my laptop a few months ago and it wasn’t very convenient to use at all. Also I’ll admit I was not very inspired, which seems to have been a common thing amongst bloggers recently. However fear not, I finally got myself a new computer (I’m really happy about it) and I can already feel my motivation coming back. To get me started, I thought I could talk to you about a new favorite of mine: the Innisfree Canola Honey Jelly Mist.

I love face mists all year round, but I particularly enjoy them during the colder months to help ease any dryness and make my face feel more comfortable. This honey one from Innisfree is actually a bit different from your typical flower/water mists, honey extract is the first ingredient on the list and it also has gel in it, making it thicker than normal. It really feels more nourishing and moisturizing than other mists and you can tell the gel helps create a protective barrier on your skin. It feels really lovely when you feel dehydrated. Also honey is just a great overall ingredient for the skin and I love incorporating in my routine.

Personally I prefer to use it on bare skin to absorb all the great ingredients better, but it does not disturb my makeup and adds a bit of a glow if you want to use it throughout the day. Because it is thicker I like to give it a shake before use and you should know the mist is not as fine as the Olive Real Oil Mist. Lastly, it smells amazing! The entire Canola honey range has this great flowery honey scent that is not too sweet. This is the perfect product to carry around to fight the effects of cold weather on your skin.

An In-Flight Essential: Innisfree Hyaluronic Acid Skin Clinic Mask

Well guys, I think I have finally found the best sheet mask to use as an in-flight treatment and of course it comes from Innisfree. Their Hyaluronic Acid Skin Clinic Mask will make it worthwhile to look a little weird to the other passengers. After all who cares, you’ll be the one with gorgeous skin when it’s time to land.

I don’t mind taking my makeup off on a plane and doing a whole skincare routine from my seat, but I have yet to use a sheet mask while flying. Honestly, I was always a bit intimidated with what other people might think of me if I wore one. I mean most masks take a while to sink in, so sitting with one on for more than thirty minutes is not ideal. This is why this Hyaluronic Acid one is so great, it absorbs in less than twenty minutes without dripping down your neck! The sheet is also quite thin so it looks very discreet compared to others. As for the essence, it is very light but don’t worry you still get amazing results.

So obviously this gets points for being a quick mask to use making it super convenient, I also love the fact that the hyaluronic acid in it does not leave your face feeling tacky and it offers serious hydration. Just on its own, it left my skin feeling softer and very hydrated, but what is so great about hyaluronic acid is that it can boost the moisturizing properties of other products you use on top. Meaning that using it in combination with a good serum (Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum) and a very moisturizing cream (like the Innisfree Orchid Enriched Cream) will leave you with plump and glowy skin when you get to your destination. At less than three dollars, you can be sure it will be a must-have product for any future long-haul flights.

Innisfree White Tone Up Sleeping Pack

Well I am back today with a much overdue review on what is possibly my favorite Innisfree product. See I pretty much love everything from the brand, but this item is something I cannot see myself without. Proof, I have two backups in my bathroom! Now let me tell you why the Innisfree White Tone Up Sleeping Pack is so amazing.

This is a gel sleeping mask that contains berry extracts as well as vitamin B3 to help brighten and refine your skin. It contains loads of antioxidants and I find that this specific mix on ingredients really gives me results every time I use it. My skin will look brighter and more radiant, it just gives this incredible luminosity to the skin. Now don’t be put off by the name “White Tone Up”, it does not actually make your skin lighter in tone, instead it lifts any sallowness so your face appears brighter. It also leaves me with significantly smoother skin, it feels baby soft! Being a gel formula, it feels very light on the skin and I think everyone would enjoy it.

So far all this is great, but the reason I love this mask so much is the effect it has on hyperpigmentation and redness. See on any spots or red marks (leftover from spots), this mask has an incredibly soothing effect. It tones down redness and helps fade hyperpigmentation (slowly but the effect is there), also any spots are less noticeable and I find it helps them heal a lot faster. In one night I see results and how can you not love waking up to better and more radiant skin every morning.

Innisfree Skin Clinic Catechin Sheet Mask

Innisfree recently released a new line of sheets masks called Skin Clinic Mask to replace their Skin Solution masks. I really enjoyed the previous line so I was quite excited to give these new one a go and see how they compare in terms of quality and results. To get me started I picked the Catechin Skin Clinic Sheet Mask.

The original Skin Solution masks featured an amazing natural cotton sheet that looked almost transparent on the skin and it also adhered better than regular sheet masks. Thankfully, the Skin Clinic mask stays on the face just as well and it does have the same discreet look when on the face so you are less likely to scare people. The sheet is made of 100% natural cotton and I find it helps your skin absorb the essence better and keeps the mask soaked longer.

Now let’s talk about that catechin essence. This is basically a green tea extract and it is supposed to make your skin firmer and help even your skin tone. I personally found it super hydrating in a non-oily/greasy way. What I enjoyed the most however, is how it really smoothed my skin and diminished the appearance of little dehydration bumps. I was actually really surprised to see that the results were long-lasting and my skin has been better ever since I use it. Also this mask was very cooling, it actually lowered the temperature of my face and it felt cool to the touch after use. This is great after a long day at work or whenever you need a refreshing kick.

I have to say, I am super impressed with the new Skin Clinic sheet masks and I cannot wait to try more. The Innisfree Skin Clinic Catechin Sheet Mask is available on their website and currently part of a buy 5 get 5 promo.

Innisfree Sea Weed Capsule Recipe Pack

With the current weather change, I have been trying really hard to keep my skin in great condition. This means I have been digging into my stash of face masks much more frequently in the past weeks. While I have quite a few capsule sleeping masks from Innisfree I wanted to also give their wash-off masks a go. So the newest addition to my skincare routine has been the Innisfree Sea Weed Capsule Recipe Pack.

Honestly the only reason I got this was because I was curious to try a seaweed mask. On its website, Innisfree describes this as a “self-warming mask to remove dead skin cells with heat and microfine scrub granules”. In the pot you will find a thick green gel with tiny little black particles. Also don’t worry it does not smell weird or like seaweed at all.

Upon application there is a warming sensation as you massage it in and the little granules provide a very light and gentle exfoliation. Obviously this is not a very heavy scrub so I don’t find the exfoliation I get from it ground breaking. That being said, every time I use it, my skin feels more deeply cleansed and clearer. I think it is perfect for days when you have been wearing a lot of makeup or if your skin feels congested. The warming sensation is very pleasant and I love that the gel is not sticky so removing it is super easy. To be honest this mask turned out to be quite a nice surprise and I will be repurchasing it in the future. Also the capsule is great, it is both very affordable and contains loads of product, enough for at least five applications.

You can get the Innisfree Sea Weed Capsule Recipe Pack on their website and from any Innisfree stores.

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Acai Berry Mask

A few nights ago, I was really in the mood for a face mask, after spending a lovely day at home unwinding in front of the TV and blogging. It was a perfect day! So off I went and picked a sheet mask from my Innisfree stash. The It’s Real Squeeze Acai Berry Mask turned out to be the perfect choice.

This sheet mask claims to moisturize your skin while making it brighter and clearer. On the website, it also states it will smooth out your skin. I was expecting this to be a typically Innisfree mask, so softer skin and a great boost of hydration were the things I was looking forward to. Simply getting that from the mask would have been enough because it normally really delivers, but I was amazed by the results.

Obviously I got the expected results, but my skin was also significantly brighter looking and dare I say a little bit fairer.  I exfoliate regularly so dullness is not really a concern for me. I usually don’t see immediate results from brightening masks and mostly use them to help lighten any hyperpigmentation leftover by spots. Well the radiance I got from this acai berry mask was hard to miss. My face was glowing! My skin was also smoother and it felt super soft. This will be a definite repurchase and I would love to use it before a special occasion. Also I loved the light fruity scent it has, very pleasant and not at all overpowering so wearing it is enjoyable.

The Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Acai Berry Mask is available on their website for less than 2$. An incredible deal if you ask me!

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Rose Mask

Today I bring you a review on what turned out to be the most luxurious smelling sheet mask I have ever used. Coincidentally, it also had unexpected results that blew me away. So let’s talk about the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Rose Mask, one of those amazing sheet masks everyone should run out and get.

Innisfree really has out done itself with this one, the sheet is as soft as ever and it was drenched in essence, but it is the scent that really got to me. This smells exactly like roses, not like perfume or fake flowers, but like pure and high-quality rosewater. It is divine! This mask is also a perfect example of how good use of fragrance can completely elevate a product and the experience of using it. I think it is worth buying for the scent alone to be honest, but luckily it delivers pretty amazing results too.

The main focus of this is actually to moisturize your skin, which it does brilliantly without being heavy at all. I also noticed increased radiance in my skin, it did not lighten marks or my skin tone, but there was a noticeable glow that lasted for several hours. That kind of results is what I want when using a sheet mask, but I was not expecting it to have a firming/tightening effect. Once I removed it, my face looked noticeably firmer and the contours of it were also sharper looking. I am still young so sagging and lack of definition are not things I usually noticed, but afterwards my cheekbones really looked more defined. That is quite incredible for a mask that costs less than two dollars.

I really believe anyone would enjoy the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Rose Mask because it addresses so many skin concerns all at once. You can find it on the Innisfree website here.

Innisfree Perfect Clean Foot Peeling Mist

Having soft feet is not a concern I spend much time thinking about unless it is sandal season. Granted nothing beats a good session with a pumice stone to remove calluses, but it’s always nice to try new products that might improve your skin and boost the effects of your pedicure. You all know how much I love Innisfree, so when I saw they had a Perfect Clean Foot Peeling Mist I just had to give it a try.

Honestly, at first I thought this was a bit of a gimmick and in a way it is, but I was surprised to actually see small results with it. Basically, this mist contains AHAs to help exfoliate the skin. You simply spray it on your feet and gently rub. As you do so, the product will start to ball up, collecting dead skin cells in the same way many Asian facial peels work.

Now this kind of peeling product is often talked about as a total gimmick because people think the product is simply rolling onto itself. I have tested it and it did not ball up when I rubbed it on a plate with a spoon. I think what usually happens is that this kind of product will mostly exfoliate the skin on your hands and fingers first because there are more dead skin there and obviously you are using them to rub it in. So in the end the product does work, just maybe not in the way you thought it would.

After multiple usages, I can safely say the Perfect Clean Foot Peeling Mist will help remove some of the rough skin, but it mostly work on the very thin top layer. It will not make calluses disappear, but it’s a great product to use after using a pumice stone to really remove any leftover particles. I also noticed it has great skin softening properties, leaving my feet feeling very soft and smooth after every use.

In the end, this is not a miracle mist, but it feels incredibly refreshing and it makes for a nice experience after a long day. It has a nice citrusy scent and combined with rubbing and massage-like motions, it can really help you unwind and remove tension if you have been on your feet all day. I would recommend it as long as you know what kind of results to expect so you won’t be disappointed. It is affordable and the unique formula is fun to use.

The Innisfree Perfect Clean Foot Peeling Mist is available on their website and they offer great international shipping.
